There are some signs of activity on the board games studies side : the dates for the next colloquium that will be hold in Barcelona are now official : between the 22nd and the 25th of April, inventors, scholars, players and secret agents will gather to listen to a serie of lecture related to the wild subject of board games. I missed the last one in Fribourg but I will try to attend to this one since I have kept such a good memory of my only visit to Barcelona. What stroke me over there was the daily rhythm of the locals : never in bed before five in the morning and up by seven to go to work. All you see over there is a bunch of party alchoolics that dress well and have a beautiful way of serving Martini. There is also a new issue of the annual Board games studies journal well on its way : release january 2002
