4 of the 5 last squares are decorated with hieroglyphs in relation with the Osiris cycle: from left to right we can distinguish 3 ankh, symbol of life, 3 water signs, symbols of the river Nil and of the afterlife journey, 3 ibis, symbol of Thot and two adorants. |
disposition of the grid:
3 lines of 10 squares on one side and a rectangle of 3 by 4 squares with on central straight line composed of 8 squares on the other side. Dated from the XVIII dynasty. |
